naturally, for someone so worried over their own mortality rate, the art of 'please don't fucking notice me' would be pretty important. while he's with someone else from the vajrakilaya, however, he's more focused on the opposite. not an expert, sure, but he's getting pretty okay at picking people out of their hiding spots when he doesn't have to worry about keeping himself hidden. and while hara's more than happy with that, since y'know... less effort involved when there's not just him- it's not like that means he's lacking in the other sense. call it a fifty-fifty split, yeah? he's not melting into shadows or anything like that, but if you're trying to track him through a crowd, it's still gonna be a pain in the ass.
taijutsu (apprentice)
getting in close enough for hand to hand combat already means he's gonna fucking panic. not because he's bad at it, per se, but more like... if you've gotten this far in, then he must have already fucked up somewhere else along the line. his style isn't so much of a style as it is pure instinct, mixed with some tricks he's picked up from watching other people get into street brawls. it's something sloppy and unpredictable, and while hara might be missing the benefits of learning an actual specific schooling/style, as far as martial arts goes- sometimes it's just as powerful to be something wild and unpredictable.
bojutsu (apprentice)
it's actually something he's picked up pretty recently, and he's so goddamn proud of himself for not being absolute garbage at it. while solid staves with huge reach were what he'd originally had practice in, shortly after joining the vajrakilaya, hara picked up a strong preference for three-sectioned staves above all other kinds. his main self-made 'style' is still heavily centered around keeping people as far away as possible. not quite a master at it yet, seeing as how it's such an insanely versatile weapon, but he's well-practiced enough to make himself a huge nuisance in open spaces.
medical ninjutsu (journeyman)
his specialty, hammered into him by his mother for ages and ages and ages. he's recently gotten over his conditioned fear of being responsible for someone's well being, and can actually deal with most things quite well now. accompanying his mother in the clinic meant also shadowing during autopsies, which nearly always ended up serving as impromptu internal-anatomy lessons. he hates resorting to it, but while he can still get a little shaky on his chakra control, he can still rely fairly well on that knowledge to perform simple manual procedures. on the opposite side of the same coin, he'd recently been dabbling in poison production, in the way of using the drugs the group feeds him to keep him calm as a central component in poison mists. that added in with a lack of serious experience in the matter means that rather than doing some serious poisoning or anything like that, it's more like being delegated to the roll of 'smoke machine that gets you about as disoriented as a few really stiff drinks'. it's mostly for easing people into spending more money in the casino, but hara's starting to learn how to use it for serious defensive purposes, too.
